The recent pandemic has resulted in a radical change in which the workforce prefers to work. With the rise of remote work, we wanted to know if setting up a home office according to Vastu is possible and what benefits it can yield for our readers. We approached Vastu Acharya Manoj Shrivastava, a renowned Vastu consultant and Business Astrologer from North India. He generously shared with us the 7 ways we can maximize success using Vastu principles in our home office setup. Here are seven Vastu tips to help you maximize success when working from home.

  1. Choose the Right DirectionThe direction you face while working plays a crucial role in Vastu. For maximum productivity and success, it’s recommended to face the north or east while working. These directions are believed to enhance concentration and bring prosperity.
  2. Position Your Desk ProperlyEnsure that your desk is positioned in such a way that you do not have a door or window directly behind you. It’s best to have a solid wall behind your work seat as it symbolizes support and stability. Avoid sitting directly under a beam as it can cause unnecessary stress.
  3. Use Appropriate ColorsThe color scheme of your workspace affects your mood and energy. Light colors like green, blue, and white are considered auspicious for a home office. Green can enhance creativity, blue is calming and supports focus, while white promotes clarity and freshness.
  4. Incorporate Elements that Enhance EnergyAdding specific elements to your home office can boost Vastu energy. Include a plant in the North direction of your office to promote financial growth and sustainability. Also, ensure that your workspace is well-lit and ventilated to keep the energy vibrant and active.
  5. Choose Appropriate ImagesPlacing the right images or idols in your office can inspire and maintain a positive flow of energy. According to Vastu, placing a picture of Lord Ganesha in your workspace can remove obstacles and bring good fortune. Vastu Acharya Manoj Shrivastava suggests that you do not place the God’s image or idol behind you but in front of you. Additionally, images that symbolize prosperity, such as a flowing river or goldfish, can also be beneficial.
  6. Organize and DeclutterA cluttered workspace can block positive energies. Keep your work area neat and organized. Regularly clear out unnecessary files and dispose of unused papers. A clean space not only helps in keeping your mind clear but also attracts positive vibes.
  7. Proper Location of Home officeVastu Acharya Manoj Shrivastava often sees that home owners convert the least used room in their home into a home office. That is not the right way to assign a space for home office. With reference to your home’s layout select the North-East room, North room or East room as the room to make a home office.By integrating these Vastu tips into your home office setup, you can create an environment that supports your productivity and paves the way for success. Remember, a well-organized and Vastu-compliant workspace not only enhances your work efficiency but also contributes to overall well-being and success in your professional life.
