Force Motors has finally begun accepting bookings for the much-awaited 3-door and 5-door Force Gurkha in India across dealerships.

Interested customers can pre-book a test drive of the new off-roader by visiting their nearest showroom or through the company’s website by paying a token of Rs 25,000.

Car enthusiasts must note that the off-roader is slated to be launched in the first week of May 2024.

As reported by Car&Bike, both versions, expected to be priced between Rs 17 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom), will go on sale together. While the 3-door Gurkha was pulled off the shelves last year, the auto giant has re-introduced the updated model along with its all-new Force five-door iteration.

The newly introduced 5-door Gurkha promises to be more practical, with a lot of improvements, top-notch safety, and advanced features for those who are looking for an all-purpose SUV.

Compared to the 3-door, the new vehicle now flaunts a bigger size and improved road appearance and is available in multiple colour options, including Red, White, Green, and Black.

The carmaker has retained its iconic design from the outside, featuring a set of new 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, round-shaped LED headlights with the LED DRL ring, a pair of new electronically adjustable outside Rear-View Mirrors, and chrome-finished Gurkha badging at the front grill.

The new Force Gurkha range is filled with heavy cladding on the side, making it more aggressive in the segment. Force also offers a heavy-duty roof rack, tailgate ladder and windshield brace.

From inside, the Force Gurkha 3-door and 5-door are equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a full-digital instrument console, Bluetooth connectivity, and more.

It is supported by all wireless car connectivity technologies, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features include multiple USB ports, new cupholders, and individual armrests. The 7-seater model gets roof-mounted AC vents, and a bench seat with a foldable central armrest, while the 4-seater model gets 4 captain seats.

Under the hood, the new Force Gurkha range is powered by a Mercedes-sourced 2.6-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine, producing a maximum power of 138 bhp and 320 Nm torque.

The oil burner unit continues to be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Moreover, both body styles are available with a fully 4×4 drivetrain as standard, which can now be controlled using a switch on the centre console.
