Now, the company has made some noticeable changes, making it more comfortable, safer, and bolder, and has included some more top-notch off-road capabilities.
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler has been introduced in the Indian market in two variants- Unlimited and Rubicon. It has been priced at Rs 67.65 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-of-the-line trim Rubicon goes up to Rs 71.65 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom). Recently, we were given the opportunity to test the vehicle on one of the toughest roads in Punjab, and what we felt about the car and its capabilities, all has been explained in this article.

Design
It is quite evident that the company has invested a good effort in retaining the top spot in the segment. The 2024 Wrangler continues to flaunt the same bold stance, featuring some major improvements from both inside and outside.
It has been given a new 7-slot grill at the front, updated dual-tone tone alloy wheels with insane gripping, updated LED headlight setup, paired with sleek LED Day Running Lights at both ends. It also gets heavy cladding on the sides, which makes it a complete Gangster on the Road. It feels like the SUV is screaming saying, ” Watch Out, The Boss is Here”.
It is not some Tom, D#ck, and Harry SUV, who is trying to look cooler and tougher. It has been introduced for a reason, to deal with some serious off-road work. It has earned the “Trail-Rated” badge for itself after succeeding in some grueling tests.
Interior
As we mentioned above the company has invested some good efforts, and we mean it. The cabin has been treated equally. It now comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a Full Array Local Dimming (FALD) display, which works fantastic no matter if harsh sunlight falls on the panel. The unit is supported by wireless car connect technology, including Apple, Android and Auto CarPlay.
Apart from this, all the seats have been created using high-quality leather. It also offers a heated steering wheel and heated front seats. Some other notable features include dual-zone automatic temperature control, weatherproof & intuitive physical controls, 12 ways of power-adjustable front seats, active noise cancellation system with a 7-microphone array, a premium cabin and the list goes on.
Ccompany’s Claim and Our Test
It has been claimed by the brand that the latest edition is capable of working seamlessly even through 864mm water wadding. And, guess what, the claim is checked by us as we had taken it in the Punjab’s Sutlej river. The vehicle did not struggle during the ordeal and performed that task like butter.
Here’s one feature that surely deserves special attention Sway Switch. Once it is pressed, it disconnects the sway bars and helps each wheel move freely. It also helps the vehicle to crawl over rocky surfaces easily, whereas other competitors might think twice to take the charge in hand.
Improved Safety
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler now has become safer than ever. It is equipped with over 85 advanced safety features, making every single driver risk-free. The list includes Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), featuring some robust features such as forward collision warning, auto high beam headlamps, advanced brake assist, adaptive cruise control, and whatnot.
The model also gets 6 airbags as standard. It also has been given a gorilla glass windshield, providing extra safety to both the driver and front passenger.
Engine
Under the hood, the SUV has been treated with a trusted 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The unit generates a maximum power of 270 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic. In addition, Jeep’s Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system also comes on board, ensuring a smooth driving experience on any terrain.
Here’s What We Feel
From rocky terrain to muddy surface to river to flat roads, we have tested the SUV from left, right and center. From braking to handling to performance, the all-new Wrangler did not give us a single chance to complain. it checks all the boxes, claimed by brand.
If you belong to a rare target audience, who are true petrol heads and love powerful off-roaders, then investing Rs 70 lakh to 75 lakh would be a wise decision. In fact, it is a kind of choice that can be cherished for a long period.
