MG Motor India has joined forces with the Epsilon Group, stepping up its game in the electric vehicle (EV) charging scene in India.
The carmaker has signed a deal with two Epsilon Group subsidiaries – Power EV for charging solutions and LICO for battery recycling and second-life expertise.
This partnership highlights MG’s dedication to building a robust charging infrastructure and managing batteries efficiently for its EV lineup.
As per the Press Release, Power EV brings a variety of AC and DC Chargers to the table, offering charging speeds from 22kW to 120kW along with Power Panel Management Software for easy station usage.
Under the agreement, Power EV will tailor charging solutions for MG’s EVs, enhancing the charging experience for users. Through the MG Charge initiative, Power EV aims to set up 1000 charging points in 1000 days across residential areas, expanding the public charging network with both AC and high-capacity DC options.
On the other hand, LICO focuses on recycling end-of-life batteries, recovering essential materials like lithium, cobalt, and nickel for reuse. Together with MG Motor India, LICO will develop strategies for battery repurposing, emphasizing renewable energy storage and compliance with recycling regulations. This collaboration aims to optimize recycling efficiency and safety standards for end-of-life batteries.
